Lucia Coppola : Poet, Storyteller, Educator

“Coppola has a fine ear for rhythms and how such poetic movement can create a song within the soul." -Charles A. Swanson, Editor "Songs of Eretz"

Originally from New York City, I have lived in France and California. With a professional background in dance and body techniques, my teaching and creative work is inspired by nature, storytelling, music and dance.

I worked for many years promoting the arts in public schools in France. Over time I have engaged with hundreds of people from diverse age groups and cultural backgrounds in learning, artistic expression, making connections, sharing ideas and celebrating life.

Currently, I am writing music under the name Lucisong and giving workshops on journaling and creative expression through words, movement and music. My poems have been read on the radio, published online, in print and as the soundtrack for a short film. Talking With Trees, is a collection of poems, published by Plants & Poetry in 2022. My second poetry collection, TEMPO, was published by Kelsay Books in 2024. Recordings of my albums DECEMBER, MONTEREY and Burrow and Fly, are available on Youtube, Spotify and all major distribution channels.
